3.Bhimtal

One of the blessed places in the state of Uttarakhand, Bhimtal is also its largest lake! A place of immensely serene natural beauty, it is a destination of much needed peace on your weekend getaways from Delhi. At any given time, the early morning brings with it low hanging clouds that compete for attention across the green and blue colours of the water body.
The lake has been named after Bhima, who is a character in one of the greatest epics of India, The Mahabharata. Witness in wonder as a family of ducks waddles along merrily, pausing to give you company while you are boating on the lake. It is located 307km from Delhi in Uttarakhand.
